Mrs. Trentmann's May Newsletter

Religion:  Over the next couple of weeks we will be working through Unit 5.  We will be discussing Christian sources of happiness, and to be aware that help is available through the saints. Math 5:  We will review adding and subtracting decimals.  Then, we will learn to multiply and divide using decimals. Math 6:  We will be working on finding the area of triangles and problem solving. Math 7 & 8:  We are participating in Junior Achievement.  We will explore how to plan for your future, and learn how to deal with challenges you may face to reach your goal.    5-8 Spelling:  We will be working on review pages to remind us how to use the words we have learned this year. Reading:  We are reading through the stories orally in class, and will be discussing them.    We also will be working through our workbook to learn vocabulary and comprehension skills. Grammar:  We will be working with pronouns.  Please remember the reading book pages marked “Grammar Skill” count as a grammar grade not a reading grade. Note:  All redo papers must be turned in by May 20th.
